Kollu Thuvayal (Horse Gram Chutney)
Ingredients
Horse Gram – ½ cup
Dried red chilies – 4
Tamarind – small lemon size
Salt – as needed
Coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
Curry leaves – 3 sprigs
Method
Roast horse gram & chilies until crisp.
Cool & grind with tamarind juice & salt.
Mix coriander; grind lightly.
Karuppu Ulundhu Sadham
Ingredients
Rice – 1 cup
Black Urad Dal – ½ cup
Grated coconut – ½ cup
Garlic – 4 cloves
Cumin – 2 tsp
Green chilies – 4
Salt – as needed
Method
Cook rice & dal until mushy.
Add coconut, chilies & salt.
Serve hot.
Pineapple Pachadi
Ingredients
Pineapple – 1
Ripe banana – 3
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Chili powder – 1 tbsp
Grated coconut – ½ shell
Mustard seeds – ¼ tbsp
Dried chilies – 3
Curry leaves & coconut oil – as needed
Curd – 3 tbsp
Method
Cook fruit with water, turmeric & chili.
Add coconut paste; boil.
Temper mustard, chilies & curry leaves; pour.
Stir in curd; serve.
